Test your eyes
Would you spot it in time?
You’re riding through town at about 50 km/h. The road ahead looks clear. Which two details should change your plan right now?
Pick two answers 0 / 2 selected
- 1There are feet under the van. Someone may step out from behind it.
- 2The side road is hidden. A car or cyclist could come out where you can’t see yet.
A clear road ahead can pull your eyes away from the places that are not clear.
Small details like these are easy to miss when you’re new—and that’s normal. RIDE SMART gives you 10 illustrated road labs and 3 photo scenes to practise on, plus an answer key at the back, so you can check what you noticed before your next lesson.

This is an English beginner handbook for road riding. It supports your lessons—it doesn’t teach racing, stunts or off-road riding, and it doesn’t replace practical instruction or your local rules.
Is this suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. The handbook starts with the foundations and “10 things to remember before your first lesson”. Practical riding skills still need qualified instruction.
Will it help if I feel nervous about riding?
It can help you understand what is happening and prepare calmly. Pages 08–09 cover nerves before lessons, difficult days and small steps forward. If nerves feel overwhelming, tell your instructor—they can adjust the pace with you.
Is this a printed book?
No. RIDE SMART is a 64-page digital PDF ebook.
What language is it in?
The complete ebook is written in English.
Can I read it on my phone?
Yes. You can open the PDF on compatible phones, tablets and computers. A larger screen makes the diagrams and worksheets easier to use.
Does it include exercises—and the answers?
Yes. It includes 10 illustrated road labs, 3 photo scenes, worksheets and planning tools, with example answers on pages 62–63. Motorcycle control and emergency manoeuvres should be practised in an appropriate setting with a qualified instructor.
Will it help me prepare for my riding test?
Page 61 helps you prepare for test day and handle test nerves. Test content differs per country, so always check the official requirements where you live. The handbook does not guarantee a pass.
Does it replace motorcycle lessons?
No. It is designed to support lessons, preparation and reflection—not replace supervised training or licensing requirements.
Are the traffic rules the same in every country?
No. Local laws, road layouts and licensing requirements vary. The illustrations use right-side traffic. Follow the rules where you ride and the instructions for your motorcycle.

Give your next lesson a clearer purpose.
Feel calmer, understand your mistakes and know what to look for—one lesson at a time.
An independent educational handbook. Not an official licensing manual or a substitute for professional instruction.
